Klaviyo integration
Turn your try-on shoppers into a real marketing audience. Tryvio can automatically send your consented try-on shoppers to Klaviyo — each shopper becomes a profile, and every product they tried on becomes a “Tried On Product” event. From there you can build follow-up flows, segments, and campaigns around real, proven try-on intent instead of guesswork.
Only shoppers who gave marketing consent are ever synced to Klaviyo.
How to connect
The fastest way is one click — no keys to copy.
Click “Connect with Klaviyo”
In your Tryvio dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect with Klaviyo on the Klaviyo card. A Klaviyo window opens asking you to authorize Tryvio.
Authorize Tryvio in Klaviyo
Log in to Klaviyo (if you aren’t already) and click Allow. The window closes and the Tryvio card flips to Connected automatically — nothing to copy or paste.
Run the first sync
Click Sync now. This does a one-time backfill of your existing consented try-on audience into Klaviyo. After that, new activity keeps syncing automatically.
Prefer an API key? Under the Connect button there’s an Advanced: connect with a
private API key option. Create a Private API Key in Klaviyo (Settings → API keys) with
Full Access (or the profiles:write, events:write, lists:write scopes), paste it into
the Klaviyo card, and click Connect Klaviyo. The key is stored encrypted and never shown
again. Both methods sync exactly the same data.
What syncs to Klaviyo
Once connected, the Integrations tab shows a “What syncs to Klaviyo” panel with toggles so you control exactly what gets sent:
- “Tried On Product” events — the core event. Fires every time a shopper tries on a product. This is what powers follow-up flows and product segments.
- “Added To Cart” events — fires when a shopper adds a product to cart after trying it on. This is your strongest purchase-intent signal.
- “Try-on Limit Reached” events — fires when a shopper uses up all of their free try-ons. Extreme interest — a great moment for a nudge.
- Include the shopper’s try-on image — adds the shopper’s own try-on photo to the event, so you can show it inside your Klaviyo emails.
- Realtime sync — when on, events reach Klaviyo within seconds, so time-based flows (like “email 15 minutes after try-on”) fire right on schedule. When off, events sync every 10 minutes instead.
Tryvio also keeps a few rollup properties on every synced shopper profile, so you can build segments and personalize emails without needing the full event history:
tryvio_total_tryons— how many times the shopper has used Tryvio.tryvio_tried_product_count— how many distinct products they’ve tried on.tryvio_last_tried_product— the most recent product they tried.tryvio_first_tried_at/tryvio_last_tried_at— when they first and most recently tried something on.
What you can build in Klaviyo
One-click try-on follow-up flow
From the Klaviyo card in Settings → Integrations, under Automated flows, you can create a ready-made follow-up flow with one click:
- Set a delay (in minutes) and a sender email.
- Click Create follow-up flow.
Tryvio creates the flow in your Klaviyo account as a draft — shopper tries a product → wait → email showing their own try-on photo. Nothing sends automatically. Open it in Klaviyo to review the email, adjust the delay or copy, and turn it live whenever you’re ready.
Segments
Because every try-on is a Klaviyo event and every shopper carries the tryvio_* properties
above, you can build segments in Klaviyo the same way you would from any other data source.
In Klaviyo, go to Audience → Lists & Segments → Create List/Segment, then add a
condition. A few useful ones to start with:
- Shoppers who tried a specific product — condition on the metric “Tried On Product”,
filtered by the
product_handleproperty equal to the product you care about. - Winback (tried on, didn’t buy) — condition on “Tried On Product” “more than 3 days ago”, optionally combined with “has not placed an order”.
- Recently active triers — condition on the profile property
tryvio_last_tried_at“in the last 7 days”. - VIP triers — condition on the profile property
tryvio_total_tryons“at least 3”.
Campaigns
Any segment built this way can be targeted with a one-off Klaviyo campaign — for example a seasonal push to everyone who tried on a specific collection.
Emails with the shopper’s own photo
With Include the shopper’s try-on image turned on, the event carries an image URL you can drop straight into a Klaviyo email block — so the email shows the shopper wearing the exact product they tried, not a generic product photo.
Revenue attribution
Once connected, the Integrations tab shows a “Revenue from Tryvio flows” card — the revenue Klaviyo attributes to your Tryvio-powered flows and campaigns (conversions and total value).
This card needs your Klaviyo ↔ Shopify integration connected on the Klaviyo side, so Klaviyo has your order data to attribute against. If you haven’t connected that yet, do it from Klaviyo’s own integrations settings.
Privacy & consent
- Only shoppers who gave marketing consent are ever synced to Klaviyo.
- If a shopper withdraws consent, Tryvio stops syncing them.
- If you uninstall Tryvio, your stored Klaviyo API key is deleted.
See Privacy & Data for the full picture of how Tryvio handles shopper data.
Troubleshooting
The card shows “Sync error”. This usually means your Klaviyo private API key was revoked or expired. Create a new key in Klaviyo (Settings → API keys), disconnect and reconnect in Tryvio with the new key, then click Sync now again.
The try-on photo isn’t showing in my email. Some inboxes block images by default (this is common when an email lands in spam) — ask the recipient to “display images” or check spam placement first. Also make sure your sending domain is verified in Klaviyo, since unverified senders can affect image and overall deliverability.
No revenue is showing. The revenue card needs Klaviyo’s own Shopify integration connected so Klaviyo has order data to attribute against — see Revenue attribution above.
