Products

Tryvio syncs your Shopify catalog so you can choose which products offer try-on and manage the images used for each.

Syncing your catalog

When you install Tryvio, your products sync automatically. New products and edits sync over via Shopify webhooks, so your catalog stays up to date. You can also trigger a manual sync with Sync from Shopify on the Products page if needed.

Enabling products

Use the toggle in each product’s Try-on column to turn the try-on widget on or off. New products get try-on automatically: Turn on try-on for new products automatically — on the Widget tab, in the Store behavior card — is on by default; turn it off to opt new products in yourself. See Enable per product.

Colours sold as separate products (colour groups)

Some stores list each colour of a product as its own separate Shopify product — for example “Leon”, “Leon Brown” and “Leon Blue” — rather than as variants of one product. Tryvio can link these together so your shoppers get a smooth, connected experience across colours.

Automatic detection. Tryvio looks for a few common signals and links matching products for you, no setup required:

  • Shopify’s own Combined Listings feature (if you use it to group these products).
  • A custom field on your products named color_group, colour_group or product_group — if you already tag your colour variants this way, Tryvio picks it up automatically.
  • Popular swatch apps such as StarApps. Click “Detect colour groups” on the Products page and Tryvio reads your public product pages to find the groups your swatch app already displays. This only reads your storefront — nothing is written to Shopify or to your theme.

Linking by hand. Prefer to do it yourself, or a group wasn’t detected? Open a product’s Edit try-on drawer, go to Colours (linked products), and select Link as colours. Pick the sibling products, give each one a colour name, and hit Save.

A product can belong to only one colour group. If you add a product that’s already linked elsewhere, Tryvio will ask before moving it. You can unlink a group at any time from the same drawer.

Once products are linked as colours, the try-on window shows those colours as a row of chips right there in the fitting experience. A shopper can tap another colour and the widget switches to that product on the spot — their photo stays, and they never leave the page. Only colours that have try-on turned on and are visible to shoppers are offered, and the product card in the try-on window links to the page of the colour they tapped.

Getting the best results

The quality of a try-on depends heavily on your product images. See Reference images for guidance.
